About
About this site
Safety Intelligence connects and visualizes aviation safety data. It analyzes the data in depth and shows, at a glance, what matters for understanding safety.
This page is an English overview. The rest of the site is currently in Korean.
Menus
- Ontology: Defines aviation concepts and links them together. The first dataset is an aviation occurrence timeline that lists accidents and incidents in Korea or involving Korean-registered aircraft in chronological order, with the occurrence category of each and, where the investigation is closed, the cause stated in the final investigation report.
- Sketch Lab: Turns knowledge into tools and visualizations. The first tool is an Aeronautical Decision-Making (ADM) self-assessment based on FAA Advisory Circular 60-22, which helps pilots reflect on five hazardous attitudes.
Topics
- Safety-II, the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) and operational recovery
- Knowledge graphs and retrieval-based AI answers
- Occurrence timelines and data visualization
Data principles
- Causes of accidents are quoted verbatim from the conclusions of the final investigation reports published by investigation authorities.
- For accidents still under investigation, only the investigation status is shown, not causes.
- Occurrence categories follow the taxonomy defined by the CAST/ICAO Common Taxonomy Team (CICTT).
- The sources of each dataset and tool are given on its page.
